General information

C1b3rWall Academy is an internationally recognized online training program in cybersecurity, digital security, hacking, and cyberintelligence, promoted by the National Police and the University of Salamanca. It was born within the C1b3rWall project, initiated at the National Police School to spread a cybersecurity culture and strengthen cybercrime prevention among citizens and professionals.

The program offers MOOCs and specialized modules on topics such as technical cybersecurity, cyberintelligence, malware, ransomware, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, forensic analysis, pentesting, AI applied to security, legaltech, online fraud, Smart Cities, drones, and data science, among other emerging areas. It is aimed at a very wide audience: students, ICT professionals and law enforcement personnel, public administration staff, and anyone interested in improving their digital security skills.

The training is academically coordinated by the University of Salamanca and the National Police, with the collaboration of institutions and companies in the sector, and brings together national and international speakers who are specialists in the different disciplines of cybersecurity. It is a free and large-scale program, with tens of thousands of people enrolled in previous editions and participation from students in numerous countries.

All registrants are entitled to a digital certificate of attendance issued by the University of Salamanca and C1b3rWall Academy upon completion of the training, and those who pass the assessments can request completion diplomas, including the possibility of a general certificate (C1b3rWall Academy Diploma) after accumulating a minimum number of passed modules. In some cases, these diplomas can be obtained with additional recognition through the Hague Apostille.

Methodology:

C1b3rWall Academy’s methodology is based on asynchronous online training, structured into modules that are progressively opened and whose contents remain available for the entire duration of the program so that students can set their own learning pace. Each module is developed primarily through videos (lectures, debates, and interviews with experts), complemented by downloadable supplementary material and technical documentation.

Students access an online campus where they can watch classes at any time, review the content, and complete activities and assessment tests whenever they deem appropriate within the program’s general deadlines. The modules and courses are organized by thematic areas, target audiences, and ENISA profiles, which makes it easier to select training paths aligned with each participant’s prior level and professional interests.

The learning experience combines theoretical exposition, practical cases, and analysis of real cybersecurity scenarios, with an approach focused on the practical application of knowledge in professional environments and on improving protection against cyberthreats. Completion of modules requires carrying out and passing tests or activities, which promotes active learning and the consolidation of competencies before issuing the corresponding certificates.
